New Toy coming!
Hey Gang, after getting back to the basics and running 18" stock size tires 245/40/18 square, i m getting back to styling with 19" Alufelgen SF-71 powdercoated and clearcoated for ease of cleaning and maintenace.
19x8.5 ET20 25.2 lbs
19x9.5 ET20 27.2 lbs
I am loving these mesh wheels as they always look good with our bimmers, I am stoked about the concavity in this setup!!
Now, tIre selection is almost a done deal too shoping for Continental DW's. A lot of members run these and I want to try based on their great reviews and top of class for the price etc.
Because comfort is my main object, instead of running
Proper size 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.
I am pushing the enevlope to maintain comfort in daily battle with crappy LA roads, so my first choices are
Project Comfort: 245/40/19 and 275/35/19
With this setup tire is 1 inch more in diameter, or half inch taller under the fender well where it matters most. SO WILL TIRES RUB ON INSIDE OR OUTSIDE??? This will determine my selection. Any members who runs plus sidewalls for comfort using comparable setup, please...your opinion will be valuable or any wheel/tire pros/vendors have opinion, is greatly appreciated. Did I memtion I am running Bilstein PSS10 coilovers also?
Now for the reason I am

Here's current stance on PSS10 with 18x8 ET20 square setup, 12mm spacers front and 15 mm rear

Thanks for looking and more for your thoughts on Project Comfort!!

Awesome .. also looking forward to seeing pictures. I have the SF-71's a possible candidates for purchase too. I've heard less than stellar things when actually dealing with AluFelgen directly though. Did you go through ModBargains?

I run one sidewall size taller than recommended in the winter due to the horrible NYC road. They generally don't rub although they have slightly dented the very top of the wheel well. You wouldn't notice it unless you put a light on it. Well worth the extra pothole protection.
Excellent! I've ran 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 before, both are 26.6 inch in diameter and tires were tucked under fender but didnt rub so I am hopeful of plus sidewall. Getting ready to pull trigger tomorrow!!
