My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
I have a Magellan RoadMate that I take along on trips just for the fun of it.. I agree it is much more useful and informative than the NAV system.
But, I like the NAV's interface with the HUD.

I have Pro NAV and the new DVD in my E61, but I still use my TomTom Go 930T.
The main reason for this is that I bought the Burt Reynolds voice for the TomTom, and I can't drive anywhere without him.
"We are approaching a congestion toll zone. What the fuck is that?!"

That quote reminds me a construction road warning I saw somewhere around some DC road work.
"ROAD WORK AHEAD PREPARE FOR SUDDEN AGGRAVATION"

I have been considering picking up a portable GPS unit for my SUV that I drive to work. The E60 has NAV. I was looking at the Garmin and the Tom Tom and had never heard of Navigon until this thread. Now after researching your unit, it seems to smoke the others as far as features for the money. Apparently they are the leader in Europe and gaining market share in the US. I also read off of their website that they just acquired NAVTEQ's navigation software business. The traffic updates free for life and voice entry are nice features. How well does the voice feature work for you?
