New side skirt advice
#1
Hi, I'm new to this board and I just had some questions for the knowledgeable bmw owners here. I drive an 05 bmw 545i, and yesterday I took the car up to New Hampshire with a few friends. Due to really poor parking conditions/decision making, I ended up going over some rocks and ruining my left side skirt. Do you think it would be easier to replace the skirt with another stock 545i skirt or to upgrade to the mtech skirts? I pretty much looking for the cheapest option if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help!

Well if your looking for the cheapest I would say stock since you only need to paint and install 1. I would go for the M5 though, you drive a Bimmer you should be able to squeeze out a few extra dollars

What color is your E60? There are a couple of vendors on these boards that sell aftermarket M5 style side skirts. If you get the side skirts, u should get the M5 style front bumper too, it's a good combo for looks. But if your car is black sapphire metallic, I can sell u my OEM side skirts from a 07 550..
Good luck!

I was looking at the umnitza skirts and they look really nice. I haven't gotten any price quotes, but I don't think even the real bmw stock skirts would be cheaper than that. However, do they need a paint job before installation or will they be ready out of the box? My car is black, but im not sure if its black sapphire metallic, haha. I will check up on that, thanks for the offer Lambda!

I think Trinity offers them painted/unpainted. Umnitza doesn't paint them. I am willing to sell my OEM skirts for the same price + shipping as the aftermarket skirts ($199.00 + shipping)
