For example, as you will notice the wheel well is at it's highest point in the middle, then it tapers down towards the outside. If the outside is where you are getting the rubbing, this can be rolled out. Hope this helps.
Im rubbing on the fronts outer part.. I can feel the fender part near the front bumper a bit pulled =(.. these wheels are aggressive offsets +12 fronts and +16 rears with 255/35/20 and 285/30/20.. Im on stock sport suspension...back is fine no rubbing.. What do you tnink size would suit my car best... 245/35/20 or 255/30/20? It takes time. You can use Mothers Aluminum polish if the lips aren't clear coated. You still can use it without, but don't be too harsh when rubbing.

as far as the polishing goes....

i used to have a nice set of MRR GT1s with a polished aluminum lip. i used mothers aluminum polish and a small orbital buffer. i would take the wheel off completely so i could get the angles right and clean the inner barrel. i did this like once a month. in between those super cleanings, i would just hand polish them once a week....this is all a huge contributing factor to me getting wheels with a chrome lip later in the summer lol
