Thanks everyone.
Thank you for heads up!
I have OEM M5 front fenders so I have extra room in front. I'm also running these tyres already with a 8.5x19 et14 wheels and no problems whatsoever. Believe me, I've studied this a lot.
And I 100% agree on that long winter issue. I want to keep my car looking good all year long!

Anti,
Hopefully you won't have any issues with rubbing, I switched tot hat rubber size on my summers this past year and the offsets on my wheels made the higher profile tire rub when going up parking ramps and sidewalks. I bought a set of oem 19" rubber from a F10 thinking they would fit but I was wrong. Hopefully you did a little more homework and yours will work out.
I'm currently looking at going to 18" for my winter setup and getting rid of the oem 17" wheels. Our Canadian winters last for so long its quite disappointing to have to run oem 17" for half the year and only have the car look nice with the nice wheels for half a year.

Some of you may think that 19" is too big for winter, especially for a Finnish winter lol! But I increased the tyre size as well up to 245/40 R19, so I will have as much sidewall as I had with my last winter setup (245/40 R18). I never had poblems with that set.
Pics will follow when I get them of course!

Can't wait to see your installed pics. I too went with 19" this winter. I think that our weather here in Saskatchewan is similar to yours. I ran 245/40/18 last year and this year moved up to 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. As you said, sidewall heights were similar. I had to adjust my coilovers and get an alignment done but I think that it was worth it. I like the look of the beefier tires so much that I think that I will go with the same tire sizes for my summers too. The rims are from vortex tuning.

Hey nice to see another Saskatchewan guy on the forum. I went to the same tire size for my summers this year and ended up with some issues with rubbing, unfortunately I haven't been able to quite figure it out because I don't know the offsets on my DPE's...

That's why I like the adjustability of the coilovers. I like the ride height right now. low enough to not look like 4x4 but high enough for clearance in the winter. No rubbing. Have you tried getting your fenders rolled? Where would you get that done in Saskatchewan?

I didn't want a polished lip for winter. I believe it needs lots of maintenance to stay in condition...?
