Nitto was nice enough to send me a set of Invo?s to review on my sedan. I agreed as long as my review could be 100% honest whether I loved or hated them.

First and foremost this car is my daily driver so I need a tire with decent tread life. I put in about 50 miles a day. My #1 choice would be to run R compound race tires all the time but that won?t work because they are too expensive for a daily driver due to short life and become a mess in the rain. Also I want to find a good tire that can be run on my car all the time.

So I have been trying a number of high performance street tires over the last couple years on my turbo 1990 Integra & 06 E60 I have previously tried the Falken FK452,and Nitto NT555 on the E60 All been good but left more to be desired so my expectations were similar for the Invo.

My E60 is just about your average 530i here in So Cal. The 5 series is sitting on a set of D2 Coilovers which is the best bang for your buck which includes front camber plates so I can adjust the camber settings if needed. Keep in mind the car is as low as it can be without all the pains in the @ss of going over bumps and dips here in So Cal.

So here is my review:

1st Impression:

When I first received the tires the first thing I noticed was the unique tread design. It really stands out, much more in person than any picture that I have seen. These tires have a sick appearance! Looking over them the quality was very good compared to some of the other tires I have seen previously that have shavings still hanging on, etc. The two large groves were wider than I expected and immediately had me thinking these would not grip very well due to the reduced contact patch. With the Invo?s I noticed they run a bit wider and taller after installing the Invo?s my car was rubbing like crazy so I had to raise the car back up about half an inch on all 4 corners

The only think about the look of these that I didn?t like was how simple the sidewall was. Also how the sidewall feels very soft and seem taller then my NT555 that I was using before the Invo?s

I was very happy to see these are an asymmetrical tire so even with my staggered setup I can rotate from side to side this is a big plus on my car!

Wet Conditions:

The performance is good as I have not experienced any issues with using them in the wet conditions or the heavy rain this past month. Though I scale back how I drive when it?s wet. I still drive at a decent speed in the rain and haven?t experience any issues with traction, spinning off the line or fishtailing with them.

Dry Conditions:

The first thing I noticed after the tires were installed is how much quieter and comfortable they were than the NT555 I had removed. I have noticed that many of my previous tires progressively get louder as they wear out. Over the next couple weeks it became obvious that these are surprisingly quieter than any other tires I?ve had. That?s a big plus for my sedan that still has some class to it. When I drive around with friends and even co-workers I have found that conversations are easier and even alone the stereo is turned down lower most of the time.

Overall I am very impressed with these tires. If I had to purchase another set of tires right now I would put my money on the new Invo?s!

Nice review but what size(s) did you get and what do they say the expected miles before they wear out will be? Seems like a tire made for us commuters!

I had these on my last car and LOVED them. They had great grip and I was happy with the life of the tire. I would definitely recommend them.

i'm about to get a set of INVO's as well, nice review. what size tires are you running? from the sounds of it, seems as if i'll have to raise my car up as well. i'm on Toyo's right now and they run more rounded on the corners.

The price difference is $40 more a set from the NT555's.

Mosaic...how is the tires when its up to temp compared the NT555's? I drive my car hard EVERYDAY and I need a good tire when it's warmed up. What I like about the 555 is that it lasts forever. Let me know how the invo's are in corners.
