I have my 20" DPE R06's coming in a few short weeks. I want to look into buying tires so i can have them ready to be mounted when the rims arrive. Tire rack suggests 225/30/20 in the front and 295/25/20 in the rear. With that set up, will it be okay on my 545i sport package? I was also thinking about lowering with coilovers too. I don't want to roll my fenders if i don't have to so can you guys help me with the best set up? I tried using the search function but it doesn't seem to be coming with the right results.

David, I think you mean 255/30 in the front. That is what I have at the suggestion of TireRack among other pros. It works very well for me with no rubbing. I also have the 295's in the rear and I am not sorry. Nice and wide. All the best.

oh yea, 255 in the front. Kinda pricey. I've been calling around and the cheapest price is $1603.31 mounted balanced and installed for Michelin PS2's.

Hey David, you can see what tire sizes I have on my 20s in my signature. I also have the Sports Pkg and it rubbed so I had to have my fenders rolled. It's not rubbing as much anymore but still does over big bumps and with passengers. Something's also rubbing when I go up a driveway at an angle...need to have that checked out.

I also have a set of KW Var 2 coilovers waiting to be installed and was thinking of dropping my car another half an inch or so but not sure how much more adjustment/fender rolling I'd have to do...

I'm not sure if your offsets are different than mine so I don't know for sure if you'd have the same problems as me.

Well I'm thinking that since my wheels are custom made to fit my car, the offset should be perfect to where I don't need to roll fenders - at least thats what I'm hoping. So i guess I'll just have to see, but do you guys agree that 255/30/20 in front and 295/25/20 in back is a good setup?

Did you consult with your retailer when you ordered the wheels? My reason for asking is, on custom made wheels the tire sizing is important when building and specifying the wheel parameters. For example, if a client is going to run a 295/25-20 as opposed to a 275/30-20 we need to spec the wheels a different way.

Assuming you have a 20x8.5 / 20x10, and not knowing the specs the wheels were built to,

245/30-20 and 285/25-20 would be a safer proposition (I'm operating under the assumption that the car will be lowered as well).

Good luck
