Damn that's ridiculous!! You pay so little! My plate "M5 CUU", which i am still yet to put on the car, cost me ?2400.00 Some plates in the UK sell for anything up to ?500,000.00
What the hell?! Why would you ever pay that much man? Seriously, even if you have the money to blow that is way too much just for a plate.

I guess over here it's a little different. We are accustomed to the prices of things, and it just seems "normal" to an extent. I didn't think that my plate was that expensive to be honest!

Private plates over here have always been expensive. They are also an investment. Private plates here only ever go up in value. My brother had a plate on his Gallardo, which he sold for an M6 Cab in Alpine White , and, (by the way, this is WAY TOO much money), he paid ?62,000 for it. It was "CUL 8R" but spaced "C U L8R" (see you later). It is now up for sale for just over ?80,000... 3 years later. My brother is just stupid with his money though!

No, ?62,000.00 is circa $75-80,000.... He's stupid with his money though...

This is the plate he had... For sale at the moment at the top of the page.

Clicky!!

The plates come within a week. You get a document and then go to the vehicle registration agency (DVLA) and get the plate put to your car.

BTW, price conversion of the plate to USD

80,495.00 GBP = 117,785.93 USD
United Kingdom Pounds United States Dollars
1 GBP = 1.46327 USD 1 USD = 0.683401 GBP
