Wow thanks for the write-up. Exactly by 'it' i meant the wheels and springs. Is a good price i think for a nice modification.
But i don't know i never did you such a mod before and i'm still not really sure if this couldn't ruin the 4 wheel drive, but it looks absoluty stunning!
It won't ruin the AWD system. That's a myth. If it was so true, we'd be hearing about modding issues with Audi and we never do. Go get your car lowered. It needs it bad!

I wouldn't expect any AWD problems...BMW makes a staggered setup with wheels for this car if you get the model 124 18's made for the xi. So if BMW says it's ok re: staggered wheels, then the springs shouldn't ruin a thing. They are only springs afterall. Get 'er done!

Good point Doc! If it was a problem, BMW would have never made the 124's in a staggered set up for our car.

I got my free "final" alignment today for this xi of mine 1 week post H&R Sport springs install. I asked the BMW service manager how hard it was to get it back to spec, and he said that the FRONT-end was "fighting" them the whole way but that they finally got it done. I am guessing that means, "Good enough." It still has some negative camber visible in the rear, but it's "to spec" now, and it looks MEAN ! I think the car has dropped another 1/4 to 1/2" since last weekend's install. It's where I want it to be for good, hopefully...low, but not hanging below the tires.

And, my headlamps were adjusted back to normal height for no charge. Another service guy wanted to charge me $45, but the same service manager who took care of the alignment said he wouldn't charge me for that either...nice. What a difference! I knew the lights were low post-drop, but didn't realize how "off" until I drove it tonight, POST-adjustment...even better now than when new! I am estimating that the drop shortened my viewing distance by at least 20-30 yards/meters.

So....my next project??? Sorry, C...not getting the shadowline trim or M-tech kit. I am sure you can relate as to how these "mods" start to spiral out of control.
