Hard to believe their could be something better than what comes with the car. Maybe I'll give it a try when mine burn out. Anyone no how long Xenon last?

My Ride: E60 M5, F85 X5M
Light output is measured in lumens. As a general rule, the higher you go up the Kelvin scale, the whiter and bluer the shade of light but the less lumens it projects.
I changed my factory 4300K bulbs to 6000K Xtec bulbs. It's definitely more bluish but I also think the ilumination is a bit reduced. I might change it back to 5000K.
You can also check out Philips Ultinon xenon bulbs.

So when you went up to 6000k you bulbs are dramatically blue? What do you mean by reduced ilumination? It isnt as bright but its more blue is what your saying?

Yep...more blue but a bit less bright compared to the stock 4300K bulbs...I think.
Actually, there's a point on the Kelvin scale that the light output (lumens) start to drop. I think it's around 5500K or 6000K so maybe mine is at the peak. Trying to find where I read the info.

NVM---Im gonna get some 10000-12000k bulbs now 
Anyone know the wattage limit we got to stay in? Anyone recommend any bulbs in that kelvin range?

So 15k has a 21 lumen versus 31 lumen...
Im really leaning towards 15000k, I really really want that purple look but then again I do not want to get bugged by cops or anything. Also wondering if it might look ghetto or not, I dont want my car looking like a civic with a loud exhaust =/
