FYI, Pre LCI, LCI or pre 2005 mirrors doesn't make much difference in price - that's just the wiring...
go do the exhaust first...and no you're not losing it - once you eventually install the M5 mirrors, you won't be able to stand looking at e60 with stock mirrors.
