Thanks for the comments............
Installed them myself , it is that easy. It uses a special glue and the fitment is OEM. I used tape and about three hours later I was done.

So they fit "over" the stock parts? Nothing has to be removed?
Is that right?

Did you do the exhaust also?
Thanks for the info.

That is correct the parts slide over the OEM bumpers. Yes on the exhaust.

Can you take smaller picture? I like to see the car completely. I like to see better the rear aprom.

Love the Maps. Where did you get them? I like to have some of them after the winter is over.

Enjoy your fine ride.

I noticed you took your photos near the old Flour building in Irvine, are you going to the E60 meet in Malibu on Dec. 5th.

Car looks great. I like the trunk spoiler.

Thanks, yes, I live in Irvine.

No, I will not be in Malibu unless it's 6 foot, glassy and less than 400 people out.

Thanks Again,
Jon

Help a fellow alum out here (well. kinda - spent my first collegiate year at 'SC):

Does the part come prepainted to BMW exterior color, or does it arrive primed and must be painted at the body shop ???

Am I reading correctly that the front spoiler treatment is applied OVER the stock bumper ??? If you want to remove it, will that result in stock bumper damage ???

Thanks ... Fight On for ole SC !!!

Hi Jon,

Remember you from the X5 board. Still have the 4.6? Sounds like you went through a M3 since? Car looks outstanding...look forward to hearing about your mods in the next year.

Hi to everyone on this thread,

Yes to the same Jon from the X5 board, nope sold the 4.6is and got an M3 ( still have it) Sold the other X5 ( wifes) and got a 04 AMG E55 for her.

I needed a car for clients etc. so decided to get the 545 till the M5 is available. If you remember I just cannot leave anything stock

As far as the ACS fitting over the front facia, yes it just slides over it and is held by an impossible to remove glue ( you will NOT be taking this off ever!) I had this same glue holding a rear HAMMAN spoiler on my X5 and it took a small army of elves with black & deckers to get it off! So if you plan on preparing your car for lease turn in or selling and keeping any of the ACS parts...forgetaboutit! The positive is that it will not be stolen either!

It comes ready to be sanded and painted...very little prep. If you live in SoCal PM and I can help you out otherwise find a shop you can trust...install yourself...if you can uses Lego's you can install this.

Hope this helped.

Can you put in a quick comparison between the e55 and the 545?

There is no direct comparison, one car costs 65 the other 95. The AMG is a brute when you want it to be with great braking ( shocking for a Benz) and decent handling. It manhandles my M3 in pure power yet is a very safe/fun car for my wife to drive.
The 545 is a great drivers car with exceptional manners on the road and very good power on tap when needed. The E55 will smoke the 545 in any race...but I used to have a C43 and always felt them "boring" the E55 is better...but my M5 will be a better head to head test.

Hope that helped.
