As you guessed, I took the road less traveled (and less expensive
) and got a front lip and the black nostrills:

Of insterest: had the following issue with installing the lip. Went to one shop and was told it would cost about 500 bucks - installation alone. so i'm like
The entire spoiler cost me 280 with shipping! :wtf: So I went to a different shop to get a second opinion - guess how much? $60 !!!!!!! Yes, 440 dollar difference! So, shockingly, I went for it and it is just fine. I made sure the guy put it on silicone around the edges, they dried it overnight. Sits perfectly, no wind noise or bounce whatsoever. And what I love about it is that it is - to me at least - totally understated and does not change the appearance that much - only elongates the shape of the car, by bringing the nose closer to the pavement

For the money, I would go with the acs style lip. It only cost me $375 and came painted from Trinity Autosport.
Looks good, but there are two e60s with acs lips within 3 block radius of my house - one of them actually same alpine white as mine, so that was out of question for me. I also considered a front m-tech bumper, but decided against it for now - that would've necessitated a set of wheels - at least 19s...

i like it, where'd you buy the lip?
Got the lip off eBay, seller's id "carbonfounder" (or smth like that - if you want, PM me, I'll look up the exact name). It was 280 shipped to my friend's shop. The lip is actually layered - it has two layers of fiberglass re-inforcement and a layer of carbon fiber. The CF is pretty good quality - if it has a blueish hue, it means that it is made with the cheaper kind of resin, which not only makes it look worse, but makes the material weaker, than is expected from CF - mine does not have the blueish hue - it is a nice polished CF pattern and has the right color. The only issue I had with it is the installation woes I described in the original post - otherwise, the thing was pretty much effortless and the shipping was fast, so overall I'm 95% happy. The only other thing being that the lip is pretty low off the ground, so I drive even more like an old lady now
