the welcome lights are a well known feature on the LCI's ! I've done the LCI retrofit and yes it works - both front and rear lights fade on and off.

sorry for the delay but i?ve been working abroad and did not have access to internet.

LEt?s see...

- 10 meters of cable - or telephone wire
- 4 diodes
- a torx
- screwdriver

1- start by removing the headlights,
2- remove the drivers "drawer" so you can access the place where the wire is going to go trough, remove the microfilter box
3 - access the headlights housing and conect the wire to the brown a the angel eye pin. The "eyebrow" is conect directly to their pins wich sit on top of the headlight
4- now you need to pass the cable, hide and into the interior of the car (behind the drawer next to the steering wheel)
5- connect the cable into the foot light (if your car has it, if it does not have it you need to direct the cable to the top light)
6 -put your headlights back on
7-hide the wire - or cable
8- close the drawer
9- use the vaccum cleaner (hehehe) to remove the dirt from going in and out of the car
10- and voil?!

I don?t now how to explain it better!

Goodness, I often wonder why I bother with buying my wires and cables from BMW instead of just using telephone wire. Seriously - I wouldn't use this because it may not be able to handle the current and could burn.

thx a lot hellraiser.totally appreciate the DIY.
and thx to bruce.again, from giving us another DIY and as always, correcting some dangerous wiring to avoid miss-haps.

now all we need now is good electrician who can do this an provide us with pics as i am no expert in diss-assembling stuff and SPECIALLY WITH ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.HAHA

lets say electricity was not my best subject.hahaha
