Hello all,

I am new to the forums, but I have been checkin' y'all out for a while. Introduced myself here: https://5series.net/forums/topic/114...xdamn-its-hot/

Well I'm doing my first upgrade/mod and I figured I would start with the lack luster stock speakers (Logic 7-less)throughout the car. So based on all of your recommendations I purchased the Earthquake SWS-8xi subs last week and installed them under the seats and just connected them to the stock amp for now (Sounds pretty flat and cheesy obviously with no power going to them). I am now looking to pick up an Alpine or Rockford Fosgate 5 channel amp, some nice 4" replacements for the back dash and high end seperates for the front door panels. If anyone has already completed this upgrade or has any insight as to the best speakers to pair with the SWS-8xi's, I am all ears. Another question is should I get the 5 channel amp or go with one amp for the subs and a seperate amp for the rest of the car? Is there a difference in sound quality between the two setups?

Also, are there any forum members in Phoenix or anywhere in AZ that knows of a good custom shop here that can install the amp and speakers for a descent price? I guess if I have to, I can take a trip to Cali (since I know there's about a million Cali members ) if anyone can recommend a custom shop that knows their ..ish and could complete the install in a day. Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. Oh and by the way all of your e60's are ridiculous sick!!!!! You guys are my heroes...hopefully with your help at some point my '07 530i will look half as good as most of your whips!

might want to look into the morel ovations 4" to go into the front doors. As for the back dash any 4" will do as they will only be for rear fill. You might want to take a look around on the DIYMA forum, lots of newer bmw's with various speaker options and installs being used over there.

Thanks for the scoop Cleung, I will definitely check out that forum and look into the Morel Ovations. Are they rated better than Alpine or Boston Acoustics? I just know that most of you guys have your e60's crazy modded already, and I was positive y'all have upgraded the speakers. Anyone??
