dude... look at your Idrive and see how much you have left on break service... if it is due then it is due...

also bmw break pads are very sensitive on moisture.. if there is moisture stuck between pads and rotor, it will sqeek. drive 45mph and break firmly... do not pump break .... just press it hard with steady rate.

it is really normal so just drive it and you will get used to it.

Also I did a oil change by Dinan BMW Dealership 1 month ago and they gave me a free diagnostic of my report and this is what it said:

CBS Items are listed by percentage availability:

Vehicle check (2nd service) 9%
Brake fluid (3rd service) 10%
Microfilter (3rd service) 22%
Spark plugs (1st service) 43%
Rear brake pads (2nd service: 58%
Front brake pads (2nd service): 68%

honestly there is no dinan bmw dealership... it is bmw dealership with authorized dinan retailer... and diagnostic report is always free and they have to print out each time you come to the service.

If the squeeking noise happened right after the installation of your new wheels, chances are there are dirt and baked brake dust that got between the pads and rotors when they dismount the replaced wheels. Sometimes the wheels are frozen to the hubs and they have to pound the wheel to get it loose. This will cause some dirts and baked brake dust to fall into the brake pads. If the noise is constant even without brake applcaition, check the brake dust shield and make sure no parts are touching the rotors. GL

That sounds logical there are too many members here that are using the M166 and no one has reported any noise issues with their brakes. I'm personally waiting for my tires and spacers to install the 166. I will let you know if I have any issues after the installation. If I were you I would install the Axxis pad at least you want get any break dust on your 166.
