I installed my new OEM M166 with michelin tires All season...so today i test drive it out...when i press on the brake..it make like squeezy noise...sound like metal touching metal?...so what is happening? anyone knows?

Hope this story help with the problem

1) so I did a oil change 2 months ago and Dinan Certified Dealer told me to come back in when I get to 6,000 mile driving cuz he said my brake needs change?

2) this never happen when I have 16's rim stock on...

3) Install M166 today and didnt get alignment because Costco Tire do not have alignment

Anyone experience this would be appreciate it and help.

Sounds like either the brakes just happen to need to be replaced and it's mutually exclusive, or perhaps you have a wheel rubbing. Nice wheels and tires, btw.

Wheel rubbing what? I got the size Front Tire Size: 245/35/19 and Rear Tire Size: 275/30/19 to avoid rubbing, so why it still happen?

simple...

m166 is much heavier than your 16 ... especially with michelin on them.... more weight more pressure on the brakes...

also it is normal to have squeek noise on bmw... especially there is alot of moisture in the air...

also there is no relationship between wheel alignment and your break...

if you have a vibration when pressing on the break then you need to replace the rotor...

so there is no way to get the noise out of the way?

seems logical, when i first had my 166's installed I noticed my OEM brakes were squeky/not as smooth as my prior 18" 124's

a few weeks later I had some axxis brake pads put in and viola, no more squeaking....*note: the OEM pads only had ~5K miles on them before I switched them out

so your saying, I should get AXXIS brake pads vs OEM brake pads? when it time to install my brake? This should get the squeezy noise goes away?

Oh. When I saw the M designation, I thought maybe you had M-sized 255s in front. A few have had that problem. Anyway, that shouldn't be the issue. Still might be the brakes.

I'm saying that's what's worked for me...but if your braking was fine prior to the 166 install...I highly doubt the new wheels have "damaged" your brake system....
