Anyone got the new ( aluminium ) I-drive knob installed?
Or is there anyone with a 2006 E60 with a picture of it?
It should be standard from sept 05 production.

I dunno... I dont really like the UFO iDrive knob from the M5...
the new E65 or regular E60 Sept production iDrive knob looks better.
I think even the old iDrive knob MY04 to MY05 with the indents look better... just wish it was metal and not plastic.

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
It doesn't look like the aluminum knob has the indents, and is just all round. I wonder if it'll be more difficult to grip the knob and to rotate it.
