New hoods

My Ride: SOLD...Jet Black 2008 550i M Sport with SAT, black interior. RPI exhaust and air scoop, 35% huper optik tint all around, CF roundels, flat black kidneys, Springfield Armory XD-40 jet black in glove box, charcoal filter removed.
I was at the dealership the other day and noticed the 2009 models have a different hood than my 2008. I like the new hood better. Question - would the new hood fit on my 2008, like a simple bolt on job?

they did not change any hood

They have two ridges in the middle - mine doesn't. Or is it because I have a 550i and there weren't any other 550i's on the lot and I was seeing the hoods on the other models that always had different style hoods from the 550i?

did you look at 650i or 3series???
because they changed it.... but 5 series remains the same ..... they are about to change with new model so there is no reason for them to design new hood for e60...

Yes this is a weird thread I'd rather just delete. As much as I like to think I'm all intelligent and cool and all that, in fact I'm an idiot at times. I know I was looking at new BMW's on the lot at Sun Motors BMW in Mechanicsburg, PA and they had different newly styled (from my 2008 550i) hoods and I lliked them. I assumed that they changed them all, but the poster above says only on the 650i and 3 series, so I again assumed that he knew what he was talking about. I can't for sure say what series cars I was looking at, I was just driving through.
So what is it, did they change the hood style with the two new ribs in the middle or not?
