My Ride: 528i, m5 style front, side skirts, and mtech rear. 5% dark tints, matte black grills, w/matte diffuser. Black/white Emblems, Shadowline Trim, Ksport Coilovers,
Default

Hi everyone, I've been surfing the forums for awhile now, but this is my first post. I have a 2008 Alpine white 528i. I just bought the Front and side M style bumpers from Trinity. : ) and matte black grills. waiting to get them in the body shop. Mean while I also bought and installed 19in M6 style wheels. didn't buy OEM b/c just bought a house and the wife would kill me. Anyways they look great and I will be posting pictures soon. The offset is front ET 18 and rear ET 20. running Falkens 452 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I was wondering if I should use spacers to push them out a little bit more. I tried to measure that fender gap stuff but I don't see any. Its like you push the wheel out far as possible. Maybe also because I have stock suspension. Thought about dropping it but the Shop said $525-600 just to install without springs. So any opinions on if I should use spacers or just leave it as is.

offset ET 18 front
offset ET 20 back

19in wheel tires 245/35/19 275/30/19

I'm new to this MOD stuff so any help is appreciated thanks

Welcome! I have the M6 wheels on my Z4 and it really sets the car apart. I can't wait to see pics of your ride.

I'm looking to get an m-tech front bumper and side skirts shortly since it's getting to be that time of year again where I find myself looking at new cars. Usually a mod or two will hold me off for a year or so....

Great initial post! Lots of info and detailed questions. If you have the proper offset, the use of spacers is an individual aesthetic decision. I always prefer a wider stance... as long as they are not poking out past the fenders and looking cheap. Just be aware that if you add spacers, you will have to buy longer lugs.

Looking forward to pics

Exactly what I was thinking. He did his first few major mods by himself without having to consult a forum. That's awesome. Like a pro.

I have nothing else to contribute, but wait for the pics. AW is a good color and with the M5 bumper it definitely looks like a very clean car.

I forgot to mention this is one awesome forum, I get carried away just surfing seeing everyone's mods and building up some knowledge. Gives me something to do at work lol. I actually get inspired. And everyone's right this forum is addicting. I just want to keep building on my car. Thank for the help guys. And ya thanks again to TRINITY. So patient and helpful. So back to my main concern, cost of install of spring should only run me $300 or so, then why are these yahoo shops telling me $550ish-600. I mean i know its a Beamer but damn do i look stupid. As for the spacers ya I wanted that aggressive look. since i already got the offset front 18 and rear 20. I guess I can use 5mm and 3mm spacers making the new offset ET13 and ET 17.
