My Ride: '05 545I SMG Jet Black/Auburn Leather, Packages: Premium, Sport, Winter. Mods: Blacked out M5 Wheels, Tint, Escort X50
Default

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum , finding amazing stuff that makes me obsessed with the new mods I want to do on my car .
I have 05 545i SMG Black on Auburn leather, Packages: Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Logic7. Everything is stock except for tint, blacked out M5 wheels and red brake calipers.

Here is what I want to do on my car:

1. Upgrade stock Angel Eyes & Fog lights
2. Change muffler or exhaust
3. Upgrade to M-Tech Aero Kit
4. Possibly apply carbon fiber vinyl on exterior and interior trim
5. Upgrade iDrive system
6. LCI tail lights
7. Euro markers
or open to other suggestions!

I would really appreciate your experienced look at this list and advise me how much I should be planning to spend, where to get this stuff, is it worth doing at all?

I will need to be careful with my budget since I am still finishing up grad school and working part-time. I am do it yourself guy, but if stuff requires some sort of experience won't take any risks doing it myself

I browsed videos on youtube for exhausts and found magnaflow exhaust #14816 muffler with tips that produced awesome sound. Here is the link, I am pretty sure the owner of that 545i is one of the members on this forum
I was wondering is it just the muffler and tips that makes that sound? Found them on amazon for 200$, is that all you need to get that deep sound?

Please help advising , don't want to do something stupid with my car and do it all over again

Here is a pic what it is like now:

Acute Performance - brakes, wheels, suspension, also about everything you could need

My Ride: 2004 530i premium package/active steering/auto sunshade/tiag/black dakota leather/logic 7 35% tint all around 19' DPE GT7

1. Upgrade stock Angel Eyes & Fog lights - Talk to John (brabusw209amg), he will be able to hook you up with angel eyes and HID kit for the fogs
2. Change muffler or exhaust - most here like the RPI exhaust it has confirmed HP gains
3. Upgrade to M-Tech Aero Kit - talk to Nerweezy with Trinity autosports they can hook you up with a replica kit, I wouldn't go oem too expensive.
4. Possibly apply carbon fiber vinyl on exterior and interior trim - check PYSpeed for interior wrap and Don Nguyen for exterior, they have posts in classifieds
5. Upgrade iDrive system - not sure what you mean.
6. LCI tail lights - very expensive, Bruce Miranda will have insight for you
7. Euro markers - not sure what you mean, if you want the euro stickers AKAlius is your guy, if you are talking about smoked LED side markers then talk to Nerweezy

Hope that helps, and happy modding

Thanks a bunch!

I will talk to John and the rest of the vendors see what they have to offer, David is getting me a quote for RPI exhaust.
Upgrading iDrive system- I read that there is a software update for iDrive which improves smoothness of SMG and makes iDrive system faster itself.
Thanks for pointing out, I meant euro stickers (if I wanna do this it will void my warranty on the optics right?)
