New finding on 535d

Hard to believe it's the 535d air filter, a wall to block the air flow !
So I discussed with the dealer and tear apart that sponge mounting on the filter.
Read about what US bimmers remove their charcoal filter on the forum, a similar approach I think.
Now my baby push even stronger (got remapped last year).
Is this something new or you've already done this ?
I'm in Taipei as well. I wonder if it's safe to do that... Do you know if anyone
at "Fan De" says it's ok for the engine to do this?
I've got a diesel and this is pretty interesting although I wonder if our air is too
dirty without a filter! heheheh
Also: where did you get the remap and how much? I'm looking to do that very
soon so any info is appreciated!

Well, check all other diesel models around, Mercedes, Audi, VW , Volvo....
There's no such design on their filters , Dirty air may destroy all of them then mine.

BMW dealer and I made this joint decision to find it out.
