Electroe60 Hi,
How much did you have to pay. Was there a discount?
And does the modifications require additional charge for servicing, like the air filter I think is a different one than stock. And are the mods more streesful for the engine?
Is the air flow meter also installed or it is not yet offered?

Thanks in advance

A Dinan certified BMW dealer generally will provide about a 10% discount if you play your cards effectively and will charge Dinan rates for installing. You would want to have any Dinan items installed by a certified Dinan installer.

Znod is correct. There's also a chance that if you call Dinan directly, they will work with you on pricing, especially if you buy multiple items or in my case, got everything done at their facility in Morgan Hill since I live close by. I got a great deal but I don't want to start any rumors and give false expectations to any members on the forum.

Just give them a call and see what they can do for you.

I can definitely feel a difference in power and responsiveness. The car is eager to have you plant your right foot. Unfortunately, even though I've bought my GT2 meter over a month ago, I never took any baseline runs and still haven't done any runs after the Dinan mods. I've been lagging.

Slightly off topic, how much increase in power did the wetterauer ECU upgrade give you?
Hi EuroCarFan,

The Wetterauer chip suppose to give a 25hp/45Nm increase in horsepower/torque. However, I did a test with a friend who has a standard BMW 645ci and he is able to post better result than me. I have posted the accerleration time on this forum

Well that ain't good. My car certainly feels faster but I still need to do some real testing to be sure.

Hi EuroCarFan,

Have you manage to do some test run on your car? I am considering to get the air intake from Dinan. I'm just wondering if they can prove their claim of 17hp increase, caused that's a big increase for an intake upgrade

I'm going to make another test run of my car this weekend. I have found out that my friend is running on 95 octane gasoline, while I am running on 92. I will use 95 octane gas and see how much difference there is in performance. I'll post the test run result again.

Sorry gasterus, I've been lagging and have not done any test runs. My GT2 is collecting dust in the glove compartment....sucks.

I was also very surprised when I saw the claim. My sales guy at Dinan also said they were surprised at the results and that it was the highest gain they saw from a CAI.

No worries mate I have order the air intake from Dinan and should receive it in 3 weeks. I'll have a test run after I install it and post the time result.
