Hey guys and gals, sorry for the emergency call but my vehicle is going into the muffler shop in 2 hours. Im changing my quad tips again! I found some nice oval tips that i like but here comes my next question. We all know that going to a quad setup (on the 545) loses power.
So my current setup is the pancake resonator delete and my magnaflow muffler placed there, and from the 2 out i have each pipe going to each side of the car. Now the question is, Should i just delete the muffler? I know it will be louder and probably drone, but i really dont mind that. And worst case scenario i can always put it back in. What do you guys think? Delete the magnaflow and just have pipes?
PLEASE CHIME IN ANYONE! OH AND ALSO, i was talking to Eloy from RPI and I believe if i can remember our conversation correctly, he was telling me to go with smaller pipes, i think he said 2.25.
Thanks and any words would be awesome

Don't delete the muffler. That would mean you have no muffler and no resonator, that probably would sound crappy.

Actually from reading the specs, what i deleted is actually called a center muffler. hahhaha. But i think ill try it. Why not? If i dont like it i can always put it back on.

I have the same setup with the magnaflow and its too loud at lower speeds. I can't imagine not having it.

OP, if at all possible can you post pics and feedback of your setup when you have a chance? I'm interested in doing the same thing but keeping the resonators on. I use my bluetooth fairly often. Thanks for the tip on 2" pipes! GL

Interesting i didnt feel like mine was too loud at all! My own mother would tell me she likes my car because she can speak in a normal tone (she comes from a honda) But im sure after i delete my muffler she'll have something to say!

So did you go with the 2" pipes from the cats all the way back?

Well I have a 525, not a 545 so it probably sounds louder because it takes longer to get up to speed and makes it louder.
