Wheels look different by themselves versus mounted on a car.
That said, the R10's look very good on a e60. However, if you're still interested in doing some shopping around, take a look at iForged and DPE wheels. Both manufacture custom wheels for BMWs and will guarantee the correct fitment without needing a hub ring or spacers.

I was at a BMW car show at BMW Fremont yesterday and saw some really nice bimmers with DPE wheels in different styles and finishes. I didn't know about them till yesterday and haven't heard of anyone on this forum with them either so you could have some exclusivity here.

Definitely some exclusivity with these.
As far as I remember, there is only 1 member in these forums with the 8 spoke DPE, but I forgot his name.

By the way, were you able to get any pictures at the car show?

I have been looking at wheels to purchase. I have just had the following projects completed:

M Sport kit without rear deck spoiler

Eisenmann Racing exhaust

Dinan Lightweight Flywheel

Now I'm looking for a new set of wheels. I am already leaning towards the radenergie r10's just because of charles at Wheelhaus - Have to say - they definitely have the best customer service with prompt replies for any questions that you might have. Wish my BMW dealer had the same type of customer service, or to go even further - my co workers

I am looking to make a decision next week so I can use all the help I can get.

I have shortlisted to the following:

Radenergie r10's silver 19in. (would buy from wheelhaus of course)

Maya STM Graphite polished 19's. (Check it out on the 645i)

If there any other similar lighter wheels out there let me know as well!! For visceral correspondence this is going onto a black exterior/ Black interior 545i Sport Package, M Sport Kit (jet black) Thanks for the help.

how about this

I really like the iforged - but someone on another thread blasted the customer service and/or quality - can't remember - Eurocarfan - wish I had known about the Fremont BMW Show.

I'd like to get the wheels from Charles at wheelhaus - just based on customer service - I have to check on what he can get his hands on for a good deal. I like the dpe's but I want to make sure that the finish is not too blingy!

Of your 2 choices, I would go with the R10s, just on looks alone.

Have considered the BBS LMs? http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG...wheel&PID=67521

Also, if you're willing to spend approx. 1300 on wheels, check out the HRE 540 ... or better yet ask HRE to build a custom set for you.

HRE 540 http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG...heel&PID=100734

Happy shopping and modding.

I've considered the lm's - love the weight but I find the styling bland or even common - they are starting to sell 7 series at sf bmw with lm's alreay put on. Love the bbs for performance and weight but I think they need to come out with a few more styles.

Centurion, unfortunately I left my camera at home with the battery charging cause I was going to a wedding that evening.

545smg, sorry for net letting you know about the car show. I had just found out Fri afternoon and posted a quick blurb about it on the Bay Area Meet thread of the Meets & Greets Discussions.

As for the DPEs, I don't think you should worry about them being too blingy IMO. I think they look very sporty and nothing looked flashy about them. Most of the DPE wheels I saw at the show were done in Phantom Black or Platinum Graphite.

Thank you. No new pics yet, although my wife just got a new camera and it's going to be 80 degrees all week, I just might take a few. Thanks again, Jim

Don't mean to add to your confusion, but....

If the Maya STM interest you what about: Axis Supermesh, BMW 101s (Have the lug cover as well) , or for something I do not think I have seen on any E60 the RD Sport C-4 or S-4. I believe they have an E60 fitment but am not absolutely sure.

RD Sport can be seen here: http://www.globalautoshop.com/wheels/wheels_index.htm

Breyton has both a R10 and STM look alikes and can be seen in the Tire Rack Configurator.

As already mentioned the BBS line with most of their products are also shown in the Tire Rack Configurator.
They have some real light weight wheels (+HP!)

I had a set of the Maya STM (graphite/machined/polished lip) and was NOT happy with them. On the STM they anodize the lip and it's a very soft coating. I had problems with scratching (and I'm VERY anal about my stuff). DazzMotorsports took the wheels back after I complained and I swapped them out for the Maya DTV Black wheels. The DTV's have a chrome lip and are not as "deep dish", which just fit better under the E60 chassis. I also went with the P-Zero Nero tires...great tire.

I purchased mine through a local dealer here in Southern California called VisionAutoSport. I worked through Nat...and I can tell you he is a great guy and really took care of me. Plus, he was $900+ cheaper than the nearest quote for my wheels. They carry all the "high-end" brands such as Maya, Lowenhart, Racinghart, etc. Good guys...
