I have been looking at wheels to purchase. I have just had the following projects completed:

M Sport kit without rear deck spoiler

Eisenmann Racing exhaust

Dinan Lightweight Flywheel

Now I'm looking for a new set of wheels. I am already leaning towards the radenergie r10's just because of charles at Wheelhaus - Have to say - they definitely have the best customer service with prompt replies for any questions that you might have. Wish my BMW dealer had the same type of customer service, or to go even further - my co workers

I am looking to make a decision next week so I can use all the help I can get.

I have shortlisted to the following:

Radenergie r10's silver 19in. (would buy from wheelhaus of course)
http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG...wheel&PID=83562

Maya STM Graphite polished 19's. (Check it out on the 645i)
http://www.mayawheels.com/gallery.asp

If there any other similar lighter wheels out there let me know as well!! For visceral correspondence this is going onto a black exterior/ Black interior 545i Sport Package, M Sport Kit (jet black) Thanks for the help.

I looked at a ton of wheels before deciding on the R10s. The Maya STMs were among the wheels I looked at. If it help you any, the reasons I chose the R10s were:

1) Radenergie is more exclusive to BMWs, although they do make stuff for MB, Porsche and Ferrari. Where as Maya makes more general applications for most cars.
2) The R10s are very lightweight forged wheels. Their 20" wheels are lighter by a few lbs than the stock 18" 124s. I don't think Maya wheels are that light.
3) The R10 is more unique in styling than the STM.

All that said, I do think the STM is one of the best looking wheels in the Maya/Maido line.

As for other options. Have you looked at Avus? www.avuswheels.com

Or the recently introduced Sport Technic Mono 10 also available at WheelAutohaus? http://www.wheelautohaus.com/page.php?name...00000000257&ct=

Good luck in making your decision.

Thanks Eurocarfan -

Knew I could count on you to advise first.

I checked out the avus - but I want a bit more of the lip for a deeper dish look. I want to go with the 19's - someone told me that performance wise - 19's are the way to go -

I like the 20's because of the spacing (less gap) - However -I don't want to lower with spacers on the 19's. I do think that the radenergie's look pretty good without lowering -

Btw - Charles suggested toyo tires with the radenergie's - what do you think?

IMHO nice project, you are on the right track

but as almost every has Radeneregie FORGET IT!! BE unique and go for the MAYA (d other is more trendy)

that one on the e63 right? look stunning awesome. Good luck but if you steel wanna have a trendy wheel that MANY has go for RE.

Ps. Toyo is good but also Continental Sport Contact2, Michlein AP2

Are you saying that I'm a post whore? hahaha Okay, I am....

I think Toyo makes great tires. I totally forgot about them when I was deciding on tires. I looked at Bridgestone Potenza S03, Michelin PS2 and Continentals but ultimately decided on the Nittos. This will sound weird but I had always been a fan of RennTech, a MB tuner, and I've read up on some of their project cars and they used Nittos so..........

Wheels look different by themselves versus mounted on a car.
That said, the R10's look very good on a e60. However, if you're still interested in doing some shopping around, take a look at iForged and DPE wheels. Both manufacture custom wheels for BMWs and will guarantee the correct fitment without needing a hub ring or spacers.

Thanks - the iforged looks sweet - its helpful to have the price and the weight for each wheel as well!

I like the R10's. Be sure you don't undo your mods by selecting wheels that are too heavy. What do the R10's weigh? You know me and my "Mindcandy" diet.

According to Charles from WheelAutohaus, the R10s are 26.5 lbs for the 20x9 and 29.4 lbs for the 20x10.

Of your 2 choices, I would go with the R10s, just on looks alone.

Have considered the BBS LMs? http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG...wheel&PID=67521

Also, if you're willing to spend approx. 1300 on wheels, check out the HRE 540 ... or better yet ask HRE to build a custom set for you.

HRE 540 http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG...heel&PID=100734

Happy shopping and modding.
