I wanted to go the inexpensive route to change my muffler/exhaust. I do not have the $$$ to get a whole new exhaust and would like to change the stock muffler to a universal Mangaflow. Can some one help with the measurements?? Whats the size of the inlet? and would this enhance the sound a bit? is this a good idea? Going more for a better sound and the look of bigger tips in the back. Appreciate your feedback, thanks.

magnaflows give a sort of deeper rumbling sound. the inlet should be 2.25" - 2.5" wide. many have gone with just replacing the muffler, others with changing the piping as well and taking out a resonator(s) and others have gone with a quad exhaust set-up. for a single side, it usually comes down between the 14816 and 14862. PM sent. let me know if I can help with anything

dumb question...but what do you do with the vac line that hooks up to that actuator on one of the outlets on the stock muffler....just plug it?

Thanks NerWeezy!! Def good Ideas............About taking out the resonator, would the sound be too loud? I just to enhance the sound and still look like a Luxury Sports car, ya know. I think I might go with just changing out the muffler and if I still want it louder, will remove the resonator.
What about the Vac Line that Ktlocklear is talking about, is that gonna be an issue? What do you do with that line? Thanks again guys......

The vac line just opens the other side of the muffler at certain RPM. Below that point it's to create more bck pressure which some think helps torque and/or scavenging for fuel economy and emissions. Just unplug it, block the line and it's fine- no codes thrown and I've been in to the dealer for service with no comments/issues.

Any gain's keeping it open all the time with the stock muff...or will it hurt performance?
Forcing it open gives an ever so slightly deeper rumble, but don't expect an aftermarket exhaust note.
