The SIB is a service bulletin that provides updated information on the correct wiring of the SZL (steering column switch cluster/module) to the rest of the car, as the information in the BMW wiring diagrams provided to dealers had an error. A PDF of the service bulletin is included in the thread.

did they want so see how the wires are by sportautomatik or had your car the problems which are named in this SIB ?

My Ride: 2008 550i M-sport, retrofitted heated M-sport steering wheel with paddles, Sport-auto transmission
The referenced SIB in the other thread contained the info we needed to correctly wire the paddles and SZL to the rest of the car, as the wiring diagram that the dealers currently have for LCI models wasn't correct. If you just follow the instructions provided in the other thread for wiring, you should be good to go -- those instructions were from the dealer who diagnosed the incorrect connections and fixed the problem. NavarrOne followed the same directions and successfully installed SAT/paddles very recently, so I'm fairly certain they are accurate.
