I have a 2008 535i and wanted to buy a set of oem M5 166 wheels. My question is if they will bolt right up or is the offset from the 166's different from my stocks. If it is different will I have to run a spacer with extended lugs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The problem isn't within the wheels so much. The OEM M5 tires will not fit. You will rub big time so you will need to buy new tires if anything to fit your 535i

preferably 245/35/19 up front.

Some people run the M5 tires in the rear with no issue. The ones in the front have to be replaced.

offsets are different from your stock but will be just fine. and recommended tire sizes for the non-M e60s will be 245/35/19 and 275/30/19

Im currently running 245/40/19 Front and 285/35/19 Rear on my OEM M5 166's.

Slight rubbing on front, but not bad at all, only when I run over deep dips in the road.

Some people also prefer to run a 12mm spacer for the rear to make it flush with the fender... I just purchased a set from Nerweezy and have yet to install them (waiting patiently)

should work if you change the front tires as mentioned above....
if you ever decide to add an exhaust, make sure you get the new 535i gt race exhaust from Race Precision.
be sure to post pics when afterwards...

I have them in my trunk for you btw

with the 12mm spacers though and 166 wheels, they are only meant for the rear wheels that have the M5 offset of ET28. if you get a set of 166 wheels with the M6 offset of ET17 in the rear, you will not need spacers for that flushed look with the fenders.
