hey guys, new guy here and I need some help on what my options are. I got into an accident a week ago and it damaged one of my headlights. Trying to figure out what you guys think I should do since I've only had my car for about 3 months so I'm still learning. Spotted these from umnitza (http://www.umnitza.com/projector60-w...v2-p-6000.html) but the pictures aren't great, I live in the bay but it's a long drive just to see them. Does anyone know anyone that has had these? My dilemma is should I go oem and get orions or mtec v3's with euro overlay (hate the amber reflector)later? Snag those aftermarket pair? but i'm unsure about the quality. My wife and I are expecting our first child so I really shouldn't spend the money to go LCI plus I don't have the time to visit Simon in the OC and I don't know of anyone else who would do it in the bay area. All thoughts are appreciated.

here's some background on me:
2007 e60 550
Pre LCI

thanks,

Justin

Maybe your insurance would cover the headlight?

I actually haven't even seen it since the accident. Apparently just the back is broken, didn't look to bad when I saw it at the accident. I'll keep u in mind if I decide to get rid of it.

Whatever you decide to do just make sure it doesn't get wet. Mine had a very small crack, little bit of rain and everything had to be replaced/recoded to the tune of 1400$

Man, that's brutal. But I'm already realizing what's its like to own a BMW. I recently switched from Audi, now I've had this accident, an the initial quote was 4k of damage and just got a call this morning it's actually 11k. Didn't look that serious to me at all. Oh well, hello new m5 rep front, grills etc. The headlight situation is the last to figure out. Just took roskinc's advice and checked Craigslist, there's one for $175, Orion's here I come. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/3014059251.html will that light fit my 07 550? Any differences between that and my headlight?

Oh nice, a new member and already know my name, lol.

Will have to see the bottom of that headlight to see if it uses the same type of AHL unit and ballast as your current ones.

Haha In my short time of owning a bm I've spent a hell of a lot of time on this forum trying to educate myself on my new beast. I'll try to score some pics of the bottom.
