HI EVERYBODY,

IM ORDERING THIS SUB ITS A MA AUDIO HK-12X2, IT IS A 12'' SUB AND MAX WATT IS 3000, RMS IS 1500.
NOW MY PROBLEM IS I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT AUDIO AND SUBS, AMPS.
WHAT KIND OF AMP SHOULD I BUY AND SHOULD I GET A CAPACITOR.
I ALSO NEED TO KNOW FOR MY 2007 BMW 525I, IS THE ALTERNATOR STRONG ENOUGH OR DO I NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE.

ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATELY APPRECIATED.
THANK YOU.

Cap isn't really needed. That's a pretty strong sub haha. I haven't really looked into sound systems for the E60 yet, but I hear they're more difficult than just plug and play like most other cars.

Hi,

With a sub like that you gonna need a pretty big box for it and a monster of an amp.
If the speaker is rated 3000W you need an amp with at least the same capacity.
That translates to a big ?ol amp....
And with all that bass you are gonna need a killer front system to keep up with it.
That means another amp and probably some signalprocessing too.

If you, like you stated, aren?t too familiar to car audio I would leave
this mod alone or let a pro do it for you.
