I'm in the middle of installing a sprintbooster and cannot get the big plastic end tucked into the carpet. I tried to feed the original wire back through the original hole as much as possible but can't get it to feed thru much more and don't want to force anything as that is an important wire. I tried cutting the carpet a bit, but am not having much success. Do you pull out all the foam beneath the carpet as well?

Please help me figure out how to get the big plastic piece tucked in so I can reinstall the pedal assembly.

Can't figure out how exactly this would be done so that the pedal assembly will slide back in place. How exactly is this set up so that you can do that? Is the original plug tucked back in the carpet or is the plug and SB end outside of the carpet on the right side of the pedal? How is the big plastic piece laying there? Where is the big sprintbooster-labeled end laying and how is it laying?

YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T CUT ANY WIRES!!!

Cut the foam, all the way til you see the metal beneath it - it will not be visible later.

Try to make clean cuts - no debris

The cut:

1. See where the wire comes out of the floor and cut about 1.5 inches UP

2. Go back to where the wire stuck out originally and cut LEFT 1.5 inches and the UP 1.5 inches from there.

3. Lift the U-shaped tab with your thumb and insert the SB completely and make sure it does not stick out at all.

4. Put the tab back down and tuck and fix it a little to make sure no foam is sticking out.

5. Slide the pedal assembly back on (you might have a little trouble re-installing in on that tab - if so, just re-open the tab and tuck the SB deeper.

and so on ...

Doesn't seem this step can be done because of the metal bracket where the pedal assembly slides on. There isn't room between the original hole and the metal bracket to go left 1.5 inches and up 1.5 inches.

At this point I have completely massacred the carpet. Debris, carpet, foam, holes everywhere. Part of the problem is that I have not found good scissors to use. I have tried 3 pairs of scissors and an exacto knife and nothing really works well. It gets through the carpet, but not the foam beneath. Anyway, I have massacred the carpet to the point where I see the metal underneath. However, it isn't even deep enough to fit the large sprintbooster end. At this point, I would pay someone $200 to finish the install which would take about 2 minutes if they knew what they were doing.

Got a couple decent pictures, but my POS BB Storm won't send them. I am so frustrated with everything right now.

Here is 1 picture. I have 2 others that my phone won't upload.

I have cut the hell out of the carpet to the point where a good amount of the metal is visible and it is not nearly deep enough to lay the SB in there. I have no idea how anyone could possibly get it to sit underneath the carpet without the carpet being pushed forward several inches.

Jer, just don't get nervous - you know, easy does it. Humans are superior to machines, still - you'll find it eventually.
