My Ride: Gone: 2004 525i Jet Black, Built 03/04, Premium Package, Black Dakota Leather, Halogen to Euro Spec Bi-Xenons Retrofit, Dark Poplar Wood Trim, Steptronic Breyton Spirit Reps 20x9F 20x10R - Nitto NT555 245/35/20F-275/30/20R, M5 Front Bumper, H&R Sport Springs, Chrome Grills, 20% Tint, Euro Reflectors, Debadged, Aux Input, CIP v19.x
I need some advice guys..I plan on lowering my car next week. I don't have the sports package so my E60 sits a little higher...considering that I plan on installing H&R race springs. Would that pretty much equal a E60 with sports package lowered by the sport springs? or should I just play it safe and go with the sport springs? any advice will be appreciated
This is what I currently have:

Couple of reasons I went with sport... first the race springs may require camber correction and are hard on the stock shocks (they should be paired up with good aftermarket shocks).
The ride comfort will suffer...I have 245/35/20's in the front..most people who have race springs have lower profile tires (20/25 series) to avoid rubbing issues. Race springs will most likely require rolling the fenders (another added cost).
In the end I know I'll have problems with my driving habits paired with race springs. I'm playing it safe and going with sport springs, comes out cheaper and will probably only require an alignment.

Thanks I have the same set-up. Where are you getting the springs from?
That's a funny story...I was browsing a 3series forum (e90post) and found a post from a sponsor selling springs for cheap for e90's. I asked him if he could extend that offer to E60's and he said yes. The best part is the shop is literally accross the street from where I live.

I guess it is great if you live next to the installation place to get the installation deal. My place is charging $200 for the installation.
