yes, you will need anew one to fit the dual slot of the pro nav unit.

Why don't you just update to the CIC navigation? If you gonna upgrade to a navi unit might as well go for the latest one. CCC is outdated.

i dont know what is possible or impossible. I asked my stupid dealership and they said right off the bat that there was no way to do navi  and the way i am i doubted them and said ill figure it out for myself. so what parts would i need to do that and would it be compatible with my car?

I think it would be easier just to go with the ccc navi just cause i wouldnt have to change anymore than i already have to, to make it fit. if i go to bmw parts for the parts i cannot find they should be able to get them for me? or does anyone know where to get the list that blood gave me that would be reasonable and warrantied?

It doesn't make sense to upgrade to the CCC navigation now that the CIC navigation retrofit is available.Unless you want the new controller, the parts that you need are less than the CCC retrofit. Do a little more research on the forums and you'll see what i mean.

im so confused ... if someone could help me out with the retrofit kit number for cic or the entire parts list it would be greatly appreciated. also if i asked my dealer and he got me all the prices for the ccc navi upgrade and i havent picked the price list up yet but do i have to get the idrive controller knob (new one) cause that would mean i would have to change alot of stuff. is it possible just to get that afterwards. I also would like to know if i got the 8.8 " screen and conversion cable before everything could i install that and will it work.

thank you all so much for your help.
