My car LCi 2008 550i MSPORT.

It currently has the basic iDrive MASK the non Nav one.

Now the Nav screens I know are bigger and are a higher resolution then my current Screen.

I don't care for Navigation/CCC. I just want to swap the 6.6 screen out and use the 8.8 screen it with my current MASK.

I'm planning on purchasing the EAS VSM Module so I can run a CAR PC. Bigger screen better resolutions will look better.

But how will the retrofit be?

Will it be plug and play? Will I just need to buy the screen from eBay or will I need wires cables etc?

Will my iDrive be stretched across or just aligned to the top left of the new screen?

If somebody can please chime in, thank you!

It is plug and play, but your screen size will not increase. If I remember right, it will just offset to one side. I have my entire nav system on eBay if your interested.

So all I gotta do is unplug my MASK screen and plug in the CCC screen. No new wires or anything?

Nope. Plugs right in. Kind of useless though as your screen size will not get any bigger.

Humm, this is interesting. So if the correct VO is added, then the screen will work as it should?

Well I was planning on using a VSM to run a car PC. As long as I can see my iDrive still that will suffice.
