My Stereo Upgrade Finally Complete.
The sub box is not secured physically to the trunk, but it absolutely does not move around. It's in there pretty damn tight.
I looked a long time for the 4in speaker that could handle the highest RMS wattage. The Infinity's are pretty much it and as a bonus (at around $100 a pair) their value is hard to beat.

Im with medik13, i wouldn't bother replacing the rear. im all about front soundstage. I only have my rear speaker on when i have people there, its off 95% of the time.
Funny how personal preference is. I don't like not hearing the rear speakers in a system. I prefer to feel like I'm surrounded by the stereo sound (much like in a home theater setup).

Good writeup man, just getting into audio for the e60, done alot on previous cars, but not touched this one yet. Just a quick question, are the rear speakers 4", not 4.5"? And do you know what size the front door speakers and tweeters are? Cheers
The rear deck and doors are 4 inch and I think the tweeters are 1 inch (but of this I'm not sure).
