Is this my Shark Fin / Sirrius Connection?
I've been reading some old posts that state that the pink shark fin antenna connection is located under the trunk mat. I'm having difficulty reaching this area due to the fact that I haven't been able to loosen the floor near the rear seat backs. I did find a empty SMB pink connection (pictured) in the driver side corner near the tail light assembly. Is this possibly the connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, the black plug and pink plug both are for SAT radio plug in... you'll need to get a SAT radio + install bracket/kit, and either DIY and have your local BMW dealer program (or just have them do the whole job - but they'll upcharge for that for sure..)

I ended up running a cable though the back seat and connecting to that plug. I have a portable sirius sportster unit with a lifetime subscription that I am using. The shark fin antenna has excellent reception. Much better than the sirius magnet . Didn't need to program anything. I am running the radio into the aux input. I plan on stuffing everything into the center console. Good to have satelite radio back in the car!
