yes...the gap is around 90% gone, m5 bumper supports should definitely be included/purchased with an M5 front bumper.

My530i took some good images of the final gap size left for his bumper.

Roughly about the same gap I have now..ill take pics of mine later...I'm trying to get over a cold :\

just to make sure. Then can I advise members/buyers that if they purchase the m5 bumper only, they can definetly get rid of this 10mm gap..almost? I also heard that M5 front bumper carrier elimates/helps the gap situation if used with or without fenders.

This is not true. M bumper carrier used to accomodate two M black foam pieces. Even with bumper carrier, it still not solves the gap problem. The gap is caused by non-M fender and screw hole position.

To install M5 bumper on existing bumper carrier, one needs to either remove two black foams or grind it down.

Hope it helps.

I don't have any first-hand experience with this but looking at the picture of my 530i's white car above, I can say that although the gap isn't as bad as Busta's pics earlier in this thread, I wouldn't be happy with it if I bought the M5 bumper and expected it to look good. In other words, I'm glad Busta was able to make it look much better (given his options) but unless I'm misunderstanding his earlier posts, I'm thinking he wouldn't do it again this way if he had to start all over.

Telling someone that they can get the M5 bumper and "almost" get rid of the gap may cause some people to have higher expectations than what reality allows. If that happens, you might end up with an unhappy customer, etc.

Just my $.02...

Rudy was right. Customer would not happy with that little gap, and they'd be update since they would expect perfect fit. The only thing you, Tony, can tell customer is buying M5 fenders along with M5 bumper to make perfect fit. Customer will frown on what you'd suggest because of paying more for parts (2 fenders + 2 side grilles + painting + installing of fenders = $1000+ alone). Or let him/her know the issue in advanced that it'd take a lot of effort to make it "closed" to perfect.

Talking about the gap, I personally don't like this gap at all, but compared to M-tech front hood and bumper gap, I'd take M5 bumper gap anyday

I was debating about M5 fenders, but our friends here found it too much, but wife likes it She wants M5 fenders
I'm not going to do it...for now. Still debating since Christmas was just over, and money has been spent to boot up consumer index.
