Niice ! my only observation are the tips are a bit to close to the inside of the bumper..or i think is the M5 bumper openingsa are more to the right compared to the M technick ? otherwise it looks very clean.. how will you fit a 3" is the space in the inner bumper is so tight?.i did a real quad too but i dont have the M5 bumper.... lets say Quads rule!!

I wonder if I should get those Dinan tips from Fred and do the same with my car....

Dinan might get a bunch of calls thinking that they make quad systems for the E60. haha

Just saw now my friend, so happy new year and also congrats. I do NOT agree with the no-no for side gills I love those, and once you touch a car=modin' there is no more rule

Also appriciate your custom work and many hrs but the M5 has 90 mm diam, tips, so if you sell this to ECF you can get the real 550i 90 mm HAMANN exhausts true Quads and splitter for M5 in carbon (or vica versa). Beauty I love it. !!!

The tips are definitely way too small. I'd find a way to make the dinan tips work, or at the least put some 80mm tips or even 83mm tips.

The 76mm tips might work with the stock bumper or the m-tech bumper, but with the m5 bumper, it just doesn't match.

I agree that those tips are too small although they're 76mm or 3" in size. I guess I'd go for 3.5" next time when I have a chance to remodify it.

There is one problem with aftermarket exhaust is that there is no vacuum-controlled exhaust flap as OEM one. With free flow exhaust, car might gain 5 or 8hp at top RPM, but I totally lost the feel of strong low-end torque as before. I love the sound, but I'm thinking about putting old exhaust back and design a solenoid that can open and close exhaust flap with a push of a button or a potentiometer. With this I can control the loudness and low-end torque. This should be a very simple design.
With the OEM exhaust tip, I can clip 90nm over it, but what about the right side? It'll be dummy? It's a hard solution for me at the moment.
