I get a lot of PM's about my suspension setup so I figure I can make this review here and I can always point to it later!

Here are the shocks/struts I use:

http://www.koni-na.com/cat_search.cfm?mt_i...p;submit=Search

Summary:
Before buying this product, I was scared. I've read every single one of the reviews I could find on Koni (150+) and was concerned about the ride being too rough. Sure, the ride is a little rougher, but it also recovers that much quicker! I'm not going to lie; the bumps ARE louder. These struts and shocks basically make the roughness on bumps more apparent. What I love most about these shocks/struts over other performance shocks/struts, (not necessarily KONI), is that there's much less nose dive when the car slows down. Even when stopping the nose dive is minimal with the Koni shocks. This makes for a smoother ride for me and since there's less forward and backward tilt, the car seems to respond faster. I can take turns at high speeds with ease. Highway off-ramps are a joke at 70mph+. I always wondered exactly what people meant by shocks/struts making the driver more confident in the turns... now I know first-hand. This mod is by far my favorite. Getting the price I got for these was just plain lucky, (got off an E60.net member for $275 shipped). Bottom line is if you're afraid of the roughness like I was, don't worry about it. It's adjustable! I keep them on firm during the Summer and a little softer in Winter.

Strengths:
Just as expected if not better. Without a doubt, product definitely allows the car to corner faster and tighter with more control.

Weaknesses:
Rear shocks are only adjustable when removed from the car or when the entire trunk is taken apart to access the top screw. The price is a bit high if you buy it new considering coilovers aren't much more. It's comparable to other products, but may be on the steep side if you're a college student trying to modify a depreciating asset like I am. I only bought it b/c I got a great deal from a great seller. Otherwise I wouldn't fork out the cash so quickly. But after experiencing what KONI suspension can do, I think I would consider it. I use H&R sport springs as well which were purchased brand-new and are a perfect marriage to this product.

Similar Products Used:
H&R Sport springs. KONI's are my first aftermarket suspension and I've fallen in love with them. I've had over 10,000 miles of driving on them with no issues.

Great detailed feedback.

Sometime down the road, I'd like to switch out from my OEM sport suspension ...

Glad you love the Konis

How did you adjust the rear suspension to match your spring? Did you pick a decent adjustment point, install and forget it?
Or did you go tru several adjustments and finally decide on one?

If I had installed the Konis, I would have ended up w/ the same setup as yours but I opted OEM Sport Struts instead.
Next upgrade would be Bilstein Sport I think.

Usually 1 full turn from full soft is enough it all depends on installer and driver. thats the beauty of it. Mine I believe are close to firm in rears and one full turn away from firm in fronts
