Jeff, that was very profound and truly inspired me to go out and get one for myself.

Thx so much

I look forward to your reviews on other aspects of our cars as well.

All the best

Fitted mine yesterday - on an LCI 525d (3.0d engine) with manual gearbox. To be honest, I have mixed views at the moment. The response is greatly improved which is excellent, the car pulls really strong immediately as I expected. I understand no HP has been added just responsiveness (or a 30% increase of added throttle for any given throttle position up to 100%).

For performance driving this thing is great - I LOVE it. However, when it comes to driving in heavy traffic - queing (which I do a lot where I live) or if I want an easy / lazy drive, I get the impression this is going to become tiresome. Maybe it's too eaerly to pass judgement - I've driven about 100 miles so far. Other concerns are for economy (even when driving lightly) and also potential increased wear on the drivetrain. It's a real pitty there isn't an 'on' / 'off' switch with these things, that would be absolutley perfect IMHO.

So, initally, a massive thumbs up, and maybe a thumbs down for me all at the same time..... I'll wait until I get more mileage behind me before I comment further. I guess it is something similar to this that certain cars have as standard in the form of a 'Sport Button' that sharpens up the throttle pedal etc.

I am going to go out this evening and have a drive on one of my favourite 'A' Roads in the open countryside and see what I think there, followed by a steady cruise through some heavier traffic to get a full feel for it.
