I had my 545i for a few months now and decided to do a few visual mods.

A Rieger rear deck lid spoiler and a BMW M5 trunk finisher was installed.
The car has 30% tint on all windows.
Finally last week I installed new wheels and tires. It was hard to decide what type and size wheels to get. I really liked the 10 spoke (R10 and others) styled wheels many of the board members have. However I wanted to be a little different and went a little more sporty.

It was hard to decide between 19" and 20" but in the end I decided on 19" for a few reasons.
  • The 19" wheel/tire combo is lighter
  • The 19's would provide a better ride (this is a daily driver, the weekend/sporty/load/low car is in the next to last pic)
  • A few members commented that some 20's seem to rub (again daily driver)
  • PA Potholes and my personal (and others) bad experiences with real low profile tires driving on horrible roads.
20's would have been sweet but I used by better judgment and went with the 19's.

The wheels I decided on are the OZ Raffaelo III. This is a 3-piece forged lightweight wheel with a full polish.
19X8.5 (f) with 245/35R19 General UHP's
19X10.5 ? with 275/30R19 General UHP's

I am thinking about springs but I am not sure if I can add springs to my car as it has the sports package with the active handling. Plus I do not want to kill the cars sweet ride. Thinking about looking into the M-Sport springs from the LCI 550.

Tell me what you all think.

That is a sweet lip on those wheels, If it was me I wouldn't change the height but I think there are a few here that would recommend maybe a 1/2 to 1 inch. looks gooood!

Thank you all for all the compliments.

I will want to the car to be a bit more aggressive. I am thinking about the M-Tech kit but I am not sure if I like the rear. I will probably piece a kit together from the parts that I like.
Possibly ACS front add-on or M-Tech, M5 side skirts and M5 rear apron. I will be looking at the different stuff to come up with something I like.

Adding the M5 rear apron will require a quad exhaust. As I am from the old school I can not justify thousands of dollars for a few bent pipes. I started to think of better and less expensive solutions and I came up with one that should satisfy my needs. It will take some cutting and fabrication but in the end should cost less then $500 and be very different. Like I said before this is my daily driver and I do not want it to be loud and annoying however I want the sound to match the more aggressive look. Now if it were possible to have both

Looks good. If it were me, I would probably look into some Eibach Prokit springs. That should lower it about an inch, and in my opinion, would look perfect. With those 10.5" rears though, you might have a problem with tire rubbing. You may want to do a little research on that...maybe you can find someone with 10.5" rears and lowering springs.
