be careful when removing and cutting your center console....for me its the absolute toughest part of the entire install.

for anyone in the SoCal area we are an official installer of the retrofit kits.....OP shoot me a pm if you run into a question i might be able to help you with.

I have the equipment and have done coding before, so hopefully I can figure it out. I've found a few good posts on how to do the basics but I'll take any help I can get

Got it all installed today.. Having some issues coding it though.

I got #0909 and $609 and $6VA to write to the CAS no problem

Went to do it on the LMA and get the error "der codier index folgender steuergerate ist fur diesen codier auftrag nicht zulassig". Below that it says "LMA 14". I THINK the LMA software needs to be updated, but I'm not really sure.

Get the same error when trying to read the CIC (shows up in module list)

Any ideas on why? I think it's an issue with software versions not being compatible

I still have the CIC hooked up to the emulator--could that be the cause of any issues?

I can put the MASK back in and update the whole car (some of the car is using 2006 and older software..).

You may need to update SG DATEN for LMA. Can you read coding from LMA?

Just went back and started from scratch and updated datens to V41..

I can read and write to LMA EXCEPT for changing the production date. Even changing the production date forward a month gives the same error. Adding the option codes for CIC and leaving production date alone works, and I can write_FA.

Read_FA works fine too.

What you refer as production date is in fact Zeitkriterien (time criteria). Valid E60 values:

Thank you.. none of the random dates I tried matched any of those except 0909 which obviously didn't work.. will try others tomorrow

Any ideas what the actual issue is?
