hi, I have a 2006 E60 Auto, few days ago , the car stopped movin and start lagging if the gears engaged , anyway, after a trip to the mechanic he said I will need a new set of CLUTCH, and "what he called it " the "brain" of the transmission , which I think he meant the computer or chip or maybe ecu , anyway, I am not here for that, I have been around the internet for too long now, looking for any set of clutches that can be fit into my car but no luck, any help finding them. ....

or should I go with what he adviced , to get a new transmission ... for about 4000$

On an automatic transmission there are no exterior clutches you can replace. If you need them replaced you have to rebuild the tranny. If possible I'd look for a decent used transmission, save some money. Here in California there is a company called Bavarian Auto Recycling that maybe can help you, they even offer warranties on their used parts so that may help you out.

as for now, we took the transmission apart and we will try to rebuild it, the part I need is something that look like this one here

but I don't think this will fit into my car, any one know which part can I use.

I found a used tranny, for 2500$, and the mechanic is asking about 700$ to get it all fit inside that car.

about any local company, I live in Qatar, and such a thing can't be found sadly
