So, here is AlexFW's 545i - ?348mm front stock brakes that I bought last Christmas, (if I can recall correctly) but with some mods.
Curious about how they will perform on a 530i

Painted in chrome silver/black and drilled on M5 style, but with mirrored drilling like M3 CSL

Andy, the fade on 545i brakes is caused by 1. pads 2. not drilled rotors, because on drilled rotors the dust of the pads goes away and doesn't remain between pads and rotor .

Nick, I am curious to try them, come in Italy with your "530i"

I'll probably be over there on April '08 , when I'll make a small middle European tour, with Eurodisney as I-Drive destination (kids's wish)

BTW, EBC Redstuff brake pads ordered today.
I've read bad and good comments about them, good most of them ...here is a discussion, on RX8club forum.
