music and video from laptop

Hi,

I'am a happy BMW e39 driver and now I'm going to enjoy a 530da e61 from 2004 with head-up display, professional navi, dynamic drive, ...
Now I'm looking for a technical solution to connect a laptop through OBD plug to play movies and music on the car's system.

Could you please help?

I don't think the OBD plug is going to get you anywhere with what you're trying to do.

The forums are full of posts about getting video on the iDrive screen as well as playing music from various sources. Unless you need full laptop capability, I'm thinking you ought to go a different route to accomplish your goals...
