MUD FLAPS
#1
I Know they're for Tractors
But every car I have ever owned has had thm (either from new or me DIY). They stop the usual Tar and other crap off the doors and sills...and when you first put them on you really can tell the difference...I also like the way they give the grounding effect...
I have searched high and low o the web and cannot find any. My dealership (salesman) told me they didn't o any as the E60 rides lowish and are prone to getting ripped off - especially on the M Sport. Any one managed to find any?
EDIT - some US sites do them, but UK ones don't...w and w/o aero kit (which I assume is the sport kit). Anyone find any in the UK?

not sure about the hard plastic mud guards my 3 series had them, I have seen people have the 3m stoneguard film installed behind the wheels to protect the car body from paint chips.

I had the 3M film installed behind the rear wheels and this has worked out very well. The side sills act as mudflaps for the front tires - I haven't had any stone or tar damage behind the front wheels. Almost 80k miles now . . .

My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i Sport
Carbon Black Metallic/Cream Beige
Manny tranny and other stuff
Recently gone, but never forgotten:
2005 Ford Mustang GT (hence the name)
Torch Red/Crimson
Manny tranny and every option available for that year
2002 Chrysler 300M Special
Brilliant Black/Light Taupe/Dark Slate
Autostick and goo-gobs of neat features that I will sorely miss
I have the mudflaps on mine. The car definitely doesn't sit too low for them. They look fine with the M-aero kit and, IMO, actually compliment the look.
