Hi,
I just spoke to Garri and he mentioned that somebody also bought a front carrier and brake air intake ducts as well as the absorbers?

Was that you? Apparently, there are many differences between the LCI and pre-LCI bumper designs.

Thanks
Mike

there arent any diffs. I got the carrier becuase my car got hit on the front, nothing to do with the mtech kit. The mtech kit has the new brake air ducts that snap onto the front bumper.

I see. I just got off the phone with Garri (he's real nice and willing to discuss everything).

So, there is no need for getting the intake ducts? we also talked about the fender liners, whichapparently are different for the 08 cars as well. They were priced at $56 each.

Thanks for all the help.

no, you dont need anything else for the kit besides the M absorbers. The fenders were available for the pre LCI as well, but you can just cut the stock ones and be just fine. And yeah, Garry is great, and his service is fast

so pretty much anyone that has a e60 that did not come with the mtech kit from the factory has to buy these absorbers if they buy the mtech kit or they will have fitment issues?

Is your car a LCI or not, that would determine if you need the new ones. The LCI ones are different from the 07 and back ones.

Even if your car is pre-LCI it's still a good idea to get the foam absorbers that are made to be used with the M-Tech bumper. Yes, you can modify (cut) the OEM pre-LCI foam absorbers to make it fit relatively well (like I and many others here have done), but it should be a better fit with the M-Tech absorbers. I intend to replace the absorbers on my car with the M-Tech ones as well. I have already purchased the M-Tech absorbers, but they've been sitting in my garage for a few months now as I haven't had tome to install them.
