Mtech body kit - question
Hey guys,
I would like to ask about the Mtech OEM front bumper fitment cause I'm lilbit confused...
I've been told that to fit Mtech front bumper on my E61 I will have to buy many extra parts (...?) since isn't M series bumper but made for non M cars as a sport package do I really have to change reinforcement? I understand the air ducts etc. but it make no sense for me and if somebody can confirm what exactly I need to buy I'll appreciate it.
I was one step from buying aftermarket set (front, rear and skirts) but that set cost $970 plus shipping, Tischer BMW has great deal on OEM kits for $1290 so $300 difference isn't huge if we are talking about aftermarket vs OEM quality imo.
Thanks in advance for help.

If you are buying the tischer oem kit it comes with everything you need. That's what I got about two months ago. I thought like you, $300 for oem fitment is a great deal.

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
If the difference is only 300, then I wouldn't even consider going non oem. OEM will fit better and the material structure is also better. Although these are subtle differences and most will not even notice. If you change out the front bumper you would need to purchase the front styro crash pad or you can simply trim some off the lower side. If you don't then it creates too much pressure and won't allow for a good fit. For the rear you need three brackets. Left, right and rear center. This will allow you to properly secure the lower sides of the bumper. Again, as in the front, you don't have to get new brackets and if you don't then you still have to secure with a zip tie or some other means or your bumper might start flapping.

The Tischer kit comes with every single bracket you need, and you'll actually have some parts leftover. I ordered mine from them last year.
Don't waste your time with the aftermarket, at Tischer's price point it just doesn't make any sense. The OEM is definitely higher quality.
good luck with the car.

What kind of BMW do you have? I was looking into the Tischer kit too but my car is a 2008 535i without pdcs and I noticed that the only kit without pdcs were for vehicles up to 3/2007. I want to see if it would work?

Didn't notice you had an LCI car. If I recall correctly, the LCI kits are no longer available from BMW. You can piece it together, or go aftermarket. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pricing has continued to go up on these, Tischer best offering for the kit is currently 1350.00 plus shipping (175.00 flatrate within US since they have to ship freight class due to the size).
