Why you not impressed?

I read on another forum that these are any brighter than stock angel eyes during the day - they just give a different whiter output.

I believe that's the point. They are so white and that that they match daylight so well that during the day it just looks like you have a brightly colored angel eyes instead of brightly lit angel eyes. During the day the yellow actually stands out more. I guess you have to see it in person to see what we're talking about.

If you pick a random person on the street and without telling them what to look for, show them the second picture (mtec), then show them the OEM (yellow), they would say that the first picture is off and the second picture is on.

At night or dusk, it's another story. They look great. I wish there's a way to switch it from bluish or yellow during the day and white at night.

Nicely put balbs. I am wondering what type of bulbs or system the new bmws have? It looks like they are more visible

at night or dusk they're exactly what i was looking for. imo there's a point you can get to with ae's that they get too cold or too blue, i've seen some other brighter/bluer alternatives and it's not a look i like. might be some guys' thing but i don't want my 5er looking like an extra from 'the fast and the furious'. these match perfect with the standard xenons too, by not looking too cold, just white. i'll try and get a good dusky picture in the next couple of days, might help anyone thinking about upgrading ae's.

at night they're plenty bright, noticeably brighter than standard. daytime is daytime. i wouldn't want them any brighter on a pre lci car.

I like my 2.1's they are pretty awesome at night, I like to cruise around at dusk with them and my yellow fog lights on looks pretty sweet.
